Juanita Purcell
Juanita the Director, Owner and COO of Purcell Tire and has worked for the company for 62 Years.
When we moved here from Nashville, I got a teaching job at Hillsboro, MO. I was a teacher at the time, in the 1960s. I remember Bob coming in from the road, stating, “Juanita, will you please look at the financials because I know we made money; I just know we have, but the paperwork does NOT show us making money.”
So, I went to Potosi and started looking over the financials. I started with Goodyear invoices first. I found they charged us $12,000.00 for envelopes instead of $12.00. The second thing I found was that they were shipping tires to a customer in Southern Illinois and charging us $25,000. So Bob made $37,000 the first year with just these two errors.
Bob told me I could make more money working in tires than teaching, and he was right.
That’s how I got involved with Purcell Tire, and it became my life.
