Employee Story

Randy Kincaid
On July 6, 1999, I started my journey with Purcell Tire & Rubber Company. I came to Purcell through Work Source, looking for an opportunity, not knowing that the job would become a place where I would spend many years of my working life.
My first job was on the evening shift in the retread plant, working in skiving and sill. I still remember my first day. I was very nervous, as anyone might be when starting somewhere new, learning new people, new processes, and a new job.
Over the years, my job has changed, but one thing that has remained familiar is the work itself and the importance of doing it right. Today, my day-to-day work involves sorting tires for the builder and sill, making sure the tires are where they need to be so the process can keep moving.
Looking back, it’s hard to believe how much time has passed since that first nervous day in 1999. What started as a job I found through Work Source became a long-term part of my life.
When asked what it has been like working for Purcell, the answer is simple: it has been good.
