Arin Stroud

Arin is a Manager for Purcell Tire and has been with the company for over 11 years.

I used to work in the marketing department at a company called CSK Auto. We sold parts for cars, big trucks, tractors and trailers and everything in between. One of my biggest accounts was Purcell Tire. Early on in my career I met John Hartgraves and a few others from Purcell, and we enjoyed a few fun family events, races and cruises that used to be sponsored by our vendors at CSK. I got to know quite a few people at Purcell and when the opportunity came to work in the marketing department, I jumped at it! I liked the idea of a smaller company and the ability to have more diverse responsibilities and to stretch myself to do more in marketing. I scored an interview in Potosi with Roger, and I was so impressed with the facility and all the people there. I felt so welcome the moment I walked in. I told Roger I didn't know anything about tires, but I knew a lot about parts and he said, "you'll learn." I was so grateful he gave me that opportunity! Fast forward to 11 years later and we've come such a long way as a company! When I look at where we started and where we are now not only in marketing but in store count, operations, logistics, procurement, HR...we have really evolved and I am so glad I got to be part of that growth. I know I was most likely not the best candidate with no tire knowledge, but I'm glad I got the chance and I have enjoyed all of it. Every day is different. I enjoy going to Potosi and seeing everyone and every time I see Bob and Juanita, I realize how lucky we all are to be part of this adventure. So glad for 90 years and counting!
