John is an Operational Director for Purcell Tire and has been with the company for over 34 years.

My dad was a commercial tire salesman and helped me get on with Purcell Tire back in June of 1992. The moment that stood out was right after I got promoted to being the store manager Dennis Flynn called, and we were talking about sales, and the inventory in the warehouse. Dennis told me that the tires in the warehouse are not pets and they are for sale, sell the tires and you will make money, it's that simple, he said. Dennis also stated if you ever need any help with anything to make sure I reach out to him because he will always make the short drive to help. Purcell Tire has helped me grow and build an amazing family. Bob and Juanita have taught me to be and teach being the BEST OF THE BEST to my Team of managers. I started June 4 1992 washing company trucks on the weekends. After about a month they had a GS position open in the shop and Steve Richardson interviewed me and put me on full time. After 2 years being a GS/ Commercial Tire tech, my passion was repairing vehicles, Steve signed me up to get my ASE certs at the college and from that point I was a certified tech for 6 years. Danny Carter was my service manager and came to me and said he was fixing to retire and move to Florida, and I should take running the shop over. I took over the Service manager position while pulling the assistant manager role. John Lombard was the manager at this time as was preparing to retire and asked me to take the manager's position. It was a challenging event to say the least, it was late June and the store was ($75,000.00) in the red and by year end we made $151,000.00. I won the Manager of the Year Award for that year, and I still wasn't ready to quit excelling, while managing the Cape location Roger Lucas promoted me to Regional Sales Manager over the Arkansas locations while managing the Cape location pulling dual roles. For the last several years I have been the Director of Operations over 9 locations on the east side of the map.
