Charles Schneider

Charles Schneider is the VP of Procurement for Purcell Tire and has been with the company for over 26 years.

I was working for Treadco (Goodyear), and my wife and my first child had just arrived when Purcell Tire bought my location out in 2000. I was scared of the transition, but I was not going to raise my daughter away from family as I was. Little did I know what family meant to Purcell Tire and Rubber Company. As I came up through the ranks as a salesman, then a store manager, then a regional sales manager, then a VP of Sales, and now VP of procurement. The Purcell’s have always made this journey feel like a family. Junita and Bob have always treated me and my family like their own. You always hear about being a number while working for them; that statement is as far from that as you can get. They know my wife’s and both kids’ names. It has been very easy to work loyally for the Purcell’s because when you get treated with the utmost respect, it becomes natural. Watching this company grow to one of the world’s most respected tire and rubber companies is truly a blessing. Along with Mr. Bob’s vision, Junita’s dedication to get the visions accomplished, is amazing to witness and be a part of. They have molded me into someone I never imagined I could have become and have provided me and my family with a life anyone can be proud of. This story is not just about two incredible people; it is about my idols and two individuals I have become very close to and would do anything for. I’m proud to work for and protect the family (the company I work for). Bob always says we are the best of the best, and so are the Purcell’s.
